Blizzard has revealed a new video to celebrate their eighth anniversary for hit MMO World of Warcraft. The video takes a look through the years of Blizzard's first MMO, from the original game all the way to the latest Mists of Pandaria expansion.
World of Warcraft turns eight on November 23, and we'd like to thank our amazing community for joining us in celebrating eight epic years of adventure. To celebrate, players who log in to World of Warcraft between November 18 and December 1 will receive a unique Feat of Strength achievement and Celebration Package item. Using your item will kick off the celebrations by shooting off fireworks*, applying a (cosmetic only) tabard to your character, and granting an 8% bonus to experience and reputation gains from any enemies defeated while active.

We look forward to another year of adventures ahead and many more to come!
With a large amount of nostalgia for any player that begun their journey in very early Azeroth, or for those who have only just joined to adventure in World of Warcraft, the video really shows just how far Blizzard has come in the eight years since starting.

I had a mate of mine rack up 365 days played about a week or so before wows third bday and that was only on one of his chars and he had something like three at max lvl at the time. So he had spent 1 third of his life over three years playing that character. I can remember thinking to myself back then that if that was me i would of thrown myself off a bridge. God i hope he isnt still playing,what a sad waste of a life.
