With only a week to go until the launch of Medal of Honor Warfighter, developer Danger Close has released a few new screenshots on their
official blog, boasting about using "The best FPS engine out there" --referring to the Frostbite 2.0 engine, the technology created by EA DICE for Battlefield 3, that is now being used across a broad range of EA titles.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is set to deliver an awesome experience as the striking visuals and exciting audio plunge you right into the boots of a Tier 1 Operator. With the Frostbite 2 engine bringing extensive visual detail along with elaborate sound effects, you should be in for the most authentic action and fleshed out scenery, all within real locations from around the world. Check out these most recent screenshots for a look at the extreme level of detail involved.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is due on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 25th 2012.

But anyway those screen shots aren't impressive. I assume they are of console? Because if that's PC. It's far before BF3.

I got an e-mail telling me my existing pre-order had it's cost reduced. Which is EA doing something nice.
Some people say it's because the game must suck and no ones pre-ordering. I suspect it's probably because they want to reduce the, "Wait and see" purchases. Hoping the game is good enough it slows the take up of Blops 2.

Oh nice, I just picked it up at CJS for $43 so no biggie really.
Yeah the setting seems a lot more varied now, which is a nice change but I've never really "hated" the current war settings. Most of the recent FPS titles that use the Taliban/Afghan have done it tastefully so no real whinge from me. This will probably be the first modern FPS that I actually play the singleplayer through to end, so will be interesting.

Generally FPS set in the past are kind of slow and inaccurate to fire.
Those set in the contemporary are a good balance of speed and accuracy.
Those set in the future are way too fast and accurate.
