Ubisoft has today announced an interesting tie-in for the upcoming Far Cry 3 title, with news that an original inspired map and texture pack will be available for the block building Minecraft. Featuring the characters such as Vaas, Jason and Citra, the completely re-designed map will be available for free later this month.
This pack allows users to explore and survive the Minecraft experience through the warped lens of Far Cry 3, with modifications to all aspects of the original game, including environments, weapons and tools. Discover key Far Cry 3 locations and characters, including Vaas, Jason and Citra, all completely redesigned in Minecraft style. The map also features over 50 Easter Eggs, hidden throughout the Islands.
With the map modded by Michael Lambert (Sacr3, creator of Newcraft City), a well known Minecraft enthusiast, and artists Axel Janssen and Yohann Delcourt responsible for the textures.
The free map pack will be available on October 26th from the official Far Cry website, so make sure you keep an eye out for the interesting re-design. Check out a glimpse of whats to offer in the screenshots below, or head to
