Yesterday we learnt that Mega Man creator and Resident Evil, and Dead Rising veteran Keiji Inafune's new project would be the zombie/ninja/cyborg action game Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z --a collaboration with Team Ninja and Spark Unlimited that would involve Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hyabusa-- as the game was revealed at the 2012 Tokyo Games Show with a furious trailer.

Today, we have the first screenshots; and although they appear to be scenes from the trailer, they do offer a good, up-close look at the game's rather impressive art-style. Hit the thumbs below for the gallery.

Target platforms and release dates are still forthcoming from publisher Koei Tecmo.
