Remember last week when we ran news that Activision and Transformers developer, High Moon Studios, were going to reveal a new Marvel videogame treatment at this year's Comic Con?

Well it turns out the project could be based on "Hit-Monkey", a Marvel comic series that debuted in 2010 and follows a Japanese macaque who learns how to be an assassin by observing a human hitman. The original series was penned by Daniel Way who also worked on Wolverine Origins and Deadpool. Game Informer found a teaser image for the purported title, but The Verge points out that the connections to Deadpool could be way of a Deadpool-esque practical joke in the lead up to the official announcement.

Comic Con kicks off on July 14, so we'll definitely know more over the three days it runs - stay tuned.
