It seems not only Telltale Games is making a Walking Dead video game, with Activision today announcing (via IGN) that they have plans to adapt the AMC Walking Dead TV Series into a First Person Shooter.

In development by Terminal Reality, the Walking Dead FPS will be based on Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle on a "haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta."
Supplies will be scarce and players will need to carefully manage food, ammunition and supplies as they make their way through the game. Daryl will encounter “a slew of other characters” along the way that can help or hurt him. Whether or not these characters accompany Daryl is completely up to the player and “represents just some of the major decisions that will constantly be made while fighting to survive.”
While this may not be like the ARMA 2 DayZ mod in how realistic and punishing a post apocalyptic setting would be, it's definitely something different to your average survival FPS that many have come to expect.

Check out the teaser trailer below for a sneak peak of what to expect, and you can also check out the official website for more info.

If you're adapting a franchise, it would surely pay to have a slightly better subtitle or differentiate your offering in some other way than "Blah Blah: THE VIDEO GAME", especially if you're late to the party and the video game world already associates the franchise with a small shop such as Telltale.

at least it's based on one of the best characters from the show.

Your money would be better off spent on this (if it isn't already). Not only is it already out, and significantly cheaper than this Activision abortion will be, but its f*****g awesome to boot.

Do you just hang around a barn for the whole game too?
