It's been a while since we've seen a Pokemon game that doesn't follow the predictable, ever-popular formula of so many of the colour-coded titles, but taking a risk on Western Pokemon needs, Nintendo has seen fit to release a usually Japan-only pokemon release in Pokemon Conquest (known in Japan as Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition).

Jickle is a Pokemon fan, and knows the series back to front, so we let him have at Conquest to see if it has the chops to make a dent in the West, and while it arrives on the aging Nintendo DS platform, he feels it's definitely come up trumps.

Played it for an hour and got bored. Gameplay wasn't all the interesting to keep goin' I guess , and not a very good story from as far as I got.

The story definitely isn't anything special...but the gameplay gets far more interesting.
