Creative director Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley of Naughty Dog have given a somewhat sturdier release date following their appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week.

Featuring the E3 2012 demo that we saw a preview of, except this time with Jimmy Fallon commentary, the duo announced that we won't be seeing The Last of Us until next year, with no specific date so far.

Check out the video below to see the Late Night show host enthralled by the deadly force of Joel and Ellie as they try to survive an encounter with enemies.

?? are they even playing that, looks exactly the same as the gameplay demo from E3
