The new trailer for Crystal Dynamics' recently delayed Tomb Raider reboot has debuted among the early reveals on GTTV today, showing off some more action-packed gameplay scenes and that all-new cinematic flair the team are going for (obviously inspired by Uncharted).

The three-minute clip offers a great look at the newer, more mature take on the classic action franchise showing how the gritty new portrayal of the iconic Lara Croft will have to conquer much fear and adversity to survive her latest adventure.

Again, we'll be on the show floor next week eating up this game and many more, so stay tuned for a lot more to come.

It's almost as if they created a game that was similar to tomb raider but a lot better darker and just generally more awesome.. but instead of resorting to selling a new IP they got an old IP and claimed it was an update.

Wowzers, that was epic! Looks awesome, going on the 'to play' list.

Kinda reminds me of the very 1st tomb raider, which is the only one I've played, as that was kinda gritty.

Looks really cool, although I don't know if I like the talking-to-herself stuff - I can see why they do it but for some reason it seems to distract from the cinematic feel to it. All the other stuff was pretty rad though!

C'mon, that sexy voice has gotta make up for it. Who ever voices her did pretty good.

Agreed, voice is sexy and can say whatever it wants. I'll listen.

For those that haven't played Tomb Raider since the early days, definitely check out the newer ones (Legend, Anniversary and Underworld). They're not as gritty or as hardcore as this, but still great to play through.

That looks pretty damn good, wasn't expecting to be so impressed. Looks like they're taking a lot of cues from Uncharted, but thats not really a bad thing if they pull it off. And you didn't have to fight off guys who were trying to feel you up/rape you as Nathan Drake, so thats new.
