With six days left on its Kickstarter funding drive, the project to revisit and remake the classic adventure game Leisure Suit Larry has reached its funding target of $500,000. The project's initial aim is to remake the first game in the series, Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards "from scratch" for PC and mobile devices with high-res graphics and voice acting, with intentions of following it up with remakes of the later games should the first be successful.

In celebration, Replay Games' have filmed a series of videos interviewing Larry's creator Al Lowe, who provides an interesting retrospective of his early days in the video game business. Check out part 1 of that series embedded below.

As for Replay's plans for money raised beyond the $500,000 target, the developer has only mentioned "extra content" and is still currently accepting on community feedback before revealing exactly what that might entail. Head over to the Kickstarter page for more details.

Man I used to love these games, but the originals will always be the best IMO.

These should remake the police quests series too.
