After a big gameplay reveal we’re here to let you know that the new Saints Row is every bit the classic Saints we know and adore. With added wingsuit.
Our massive round-table interview with the team at Respawn, going behind the scenes on the latest Apex update and finding out how the team keeps delivering the goods.
Runic has today announced that the upcoming hack-and-slash sequel Torchlight 2 is now available for pre-order on Steam.
Torchlight II is now available to pre-purchase on Steam! Act now and the original Torchlight to play right now!
The award-winning action RPG is back, bigger and better than ever! Torchlight II takes you back into the quirky, fast-paced world of bloodthirsty monsters, bountiful treasures, and sinister secrets - and, once again, the fate of the world is in your hands!
While no actual release date has yet been announced, an expected 2012 release is still in the works.
Runic is offering any Steam pre-orders a free copy of the original Torchlight, which will hopefully keep you entertained until the release. You can also purchase the game through Perfect World, who are offering a beta key into the Neverwinter Nights Online MMO for those who purchase through them, as well as a No-DRM policy similar to GOG.com.
You can check out the opening trailer below if you didn't catch it last week (HD here), or swing by our game page for the latest news and screenshots.
Both will be good. D3 has its drawbacks for me, namely the DRM. If my area suffers a blackout, can't play.
TL2 will have modding capabilities which if you've played the first TL, you'll know that's awesome.
Have a soft spot for Diablo series as I think many of us who grew up in the 90's do so I will definitely be buying it regardless. Cross my fingers nothing happens to my internet connection. :)
Paveway pwns. Torchlight was good, loved the streamlined selling by the pet but i prefer the more adult gore and violence that diablo 3 hopefully will bring. I still have fond memories of running like a girl when i first heard "AH FRESH MEAT!".
Does the area black out so frequently that it's causes a big issue?
If so the electricity company might be first in line for a serve before Blizzard to be honest.
Back on topic, it's a shame that it didn't get released before D3, otherwise I'd imagine it'd be even more of a hit as the original was great fun to play.
and not necessarily. it screwed me over last year when i moved house. didn't have Internet for a week and couldn't start in offline mode from the get go.
Actually I just realised (and only found out) you can purchase it through Perfect World as well, which gives you a no-DRM copy similar to GOG. Can find that over here for anyone interested.
I always imagined hoggy as having a backup diesel generator in his basement and lifetime supply of used cooking oil from the local fish and chip store to run it on... right next to his collection of different sized foil hats :)

answer is no
it is just whinging point for the complainers, they are always going to complain
Posted 07:21pm 26/4/12
LOL
How often does you net go down? It's hilarious hearing people whinge and whine about having to be online all the time to play.
Posted 09:18pm 26/4/12
And yet it's funny listening to people complain about always-on Ubisoft DRM.
Posted 10:53pm 26/4/12
Yeah but thats UbiSoft! Blizzard can do no wrong! So comparing them just because they both have always on DRM is wrong and hurtful to Blizzard! /s

2) Buy Torchlight 2
3) Power goes out
4) Can't open steam because it can't start in offline mode
Posted 03:55pm 27/4/12
Power has never gone out at my place, Internet has.
