High Moon Studios and Activision have revealed a release date for their forthcoming, non-movie tied Transformers sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
The game is set to land on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 August 28, and will be a direct follow-on from High Moon's first Transformers effort, Transformers: War for Cybertron, which was well received across the board scoring a respectable 8.5/10 here on AusGamers.
The trailer embedded below carries with it a dub step soundtrack (they're using this music to sell chocolate milk now, seriously), but despite that it does look pretty promising.
We'll fill you in on more about the game as we have it.
Grimlock! I can't wait, this game is going to be f*****g sick.
I thought the first game finished with them leaving Cybertron though, since it was all corrupted or something. Looks like you're still there in this one.
Also how can they have Grimlock? The Dinobots were only created upon arrival to earth so I hope the continuity is there somewhere... Like the Transformers have been to Earth already and have returned to Cybertron with the Dinobots.
Yeah, I think that's the most likely scenario. The opening of the trailer does show Earth in their AR map, so I would definitely think Earth is going to play a role in some capacity
I hope the multiplayer community lasts longer then WFC, When it was strong, it was hella strong, but it died horribly once the majority of the community left.
Amazing game though, definately one of the best TPS I've played in a very long time

Really enjoyed their first effort as I love the G1 series of transformers so it was nice to see them looking how they sort of used to look :P
