While the other side of the fence utilises Greek mythology to show off some of the most brutal combat and execution scenes videogames has to offer, Nintendo's offering is a little more... PG.

That isn't to say Kid Icarus: Uprising, from the team who brought you Super Smash Bros., shouldn't be looked at and embraced, and it certainly carries with it themes of maturity, but by and large this is a Nintendo game, and right down to the multiplayer, it rings through in spades.

We gave review duties to James "jickle" O'Connor, who walked away from it surprisingly upbeat and satisfied.
