A couple of weeks back, we
reported on an issue with the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 that many Australian players are claiming has made the multiplayer game nigh unplayable for them for some time now -- citing their connectivity to overseas US and Euro BF3 servers as actually being better than to those supposedly hosted in local Australian data centres.
Much of the frustration being vented on the
battlelog forums stemmed from the fact that EA or DICE had not yet even recognised that there was a problem, let alone said they were going to do anything about it. So although it's obviously not resolved just yet, we are happy to let you guys know that EA have at least now acknowledged the problem and assure us that DICE are hard at work on fixing things. Here's the official statement:
“EA are aware of the Battlefield 3 PS3 server issue and are working hard to resolve it. We will provide an update as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused”
On a less official note, AusGamers' general impression from the various discussions we've had on the topic lead us to believe that they're hoping to have things sorted within a week or so.

Confirmed.
Side note: I noticed some f*** in-the-roof/wall of metro(the underground subway section) throwing down C4 on people. hack?exploit? Never seen this before although I don't play it that often.
