We're happy to mention that we now have OzGameShop and Green Man Gaming listed as partners on our game pages! Thanks to their cooperation, we now are hooking into their systems to find matches between our games so you can simply look at our game pages to compare prices from a wide variety of sources.

Both sites have been popular destinations for AusGamers members for a while now, looking to evade the often excessive local markup we unfortunately fall victim to in this otherwise pretty great country.

We've also added the UK pricing for Steam - so we now have European pricing (sourced from their French shopfront) as well as the US pricing so you can compare the difference to what we get here.

You can check out some examples which really demonstrate the savings that can be had. Dead Island, Saints Row: The Third, Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 are worth a look.

Now that these pages include a wide variety of pricing we'll be referencing them around the place a little bit more. We'd also like to take the time to point out that our links to Green Man Gaming are actually affiliate links - if you buy from them after visiting our site, we'll get a little taste. So please feel free to support AusGamers by buying from them :)

How much of a cut do you get by going via those links? not having a go but if we were to be making a purchase through one of them anyway...

I want you to buy from wherever has the best price and the best value for yall (which is why the thing exists in the first place). GMG has had a pretty good track record of having the best deal though, so if you buy from them it would be rad if you could do it from a link from our site.

They have two sites now, a US based one and a UK based one. BF3 was only available in the UK one, where you had to use a proxy to get it, not sure if that is the case now.

Eorl - you could just go to greenmangaming.co.uk and purchase it from there. No proxy needed. Its how I got my copy.

So Trog, what's the easiest way to find a given game's buy page? Searching for "mass effect 2" (for example) in the search box at the top right of www.ausgamers.com gives me a whole lot of trailers etc first. The games list from the bar at the top just gives a Top 10 list. Is there some interface that I'm missing?

Search at the top right of main page, and hit enter, should show on the page games that matched.

Yeh, you basically have to use search - we don't actually have a great "games library" interface thing. One of the things on the perpetual and ever increasing TODO list. We do try to always link to it in news posts etc, and it is (sometimes) linked on video pages and file pages. But search is the easiest way.

Not every game will have a buy page, because we have to do some guessing about how the titles work. If you find one that is missing a buy page though it is almost certainly something we can tweak, so just holler!

Kinda funny when the physical product - shipped from the other side of the world (Skyrim as an example). Is still cheaper than an Oz Steam download. I'll support OzGameShop, Green Man Games and (cough) even Impulse to get a better deal.

I the last year alone I've spent maybe AUD$2,000.00 on PC/360 games (mainly PC now cos it kicks arse). OzGameShop got a lot of that. Yes it takes ages sometimes to get the product (got my 360 Live 12month+2month last week but no Old Republic despite them saying both shipped same day!) Grrr!

Steam account is healthy:

My main gripe now is the Windows Live/Origin/Steam pissant fight.

Y'know, I'd love to see that steam calculator pulling prices from the australian steam store, the total "value" would be about double, possibly even triple...

I hate to suggest it because I hate Twitter, but if you hit them up on Twitter it might be easier: http://twitter.com/ozgameshop

One of the few good things about Twitter is that companies that engage in it are almost forced to a higher standard of customer service, because it means customers can complain publicly and everyone can see it all.
