The guys over at MMO-Champion have high confidence that World of Warcraft's next patch, 4.3.2, will be coming out this week. Of course this hasn't been officially stated by Blizzard yet, but when has MMO-Champion been wrong?
This patch is bringing us Cross Realm raids for older content with RealID friends, a few item tweaks and new items, a few new achievements, and a reduced game client install size. It also brought testing of the 64-bit client which didn't appear to have widespread or major bugs, however I'm not really sure if it will be available on the live realms.
Cross Realm Raids is the biggest addition in this patch, which will allow players to group up and form raids from any server using the Looking For Raid tool in-game.
This will allow you to join up with your Real ID friends from other realms and:
  • Form a cross-realm raid and use Raid Finder

  • Jump in to any classic dungeon or raid and be automatically placed in the same instance

  • Join forces and dominate the Battlegrounds
Please note, you will not yet be able to run normal or Heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm Real ID raids.\
So, for you current players of World of Warcaft, what do you think of this new system? Will it help with getting those extra gear pieces when you can't find someone? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

As always, the official patch notes can be found over here or if you want a more in-depth look, check out MMO-Champions patch notes.

Update - It seems MMO-Champion may have been wrong for once.
I just received an update on the Patch 4.3.2, it seems that the update was postponed because of a very bad bug. As far as I know it means the patch won't happen tomorrow, however it might happen on wednesday in the US and thursday in Europe. If it's not the case it will be postponed to next week.
Stay tuned for when we get the official word out!

Rumours of patches for blizzards mammoth game is enough to be news. Next we'll just be promoting trivia about evil people as articles.

Also to be the last major patch for Cata, iirc. Pretty sure a blue mentioned it somewhere. Reading about the 64 bit client, it doesn't seem to offer anything really "pow", though I guess it could clean up compatibility for some and better memory usage.

Real ID? Meh It's a feature for the facebook generation who have the seeming desire to have everything they ever do, known to everyone, forgetting that once it's on the 'net it's always out there. At least though they have it working and people like it and use it, unlike their ingame speech system lol o_O now that was a poorly received and developed feature.

I really liked the RealID system. Being able to chat to mates cross realm / faction was awesome. hell, being able to know if a mate is on without having to add all his alts makes it an awesome feature in itself.

"Patch 4.3.2 Going Live This Week - Or Maybe Not

The info was solid and was backed up by a few other things (announcement of PTRs going down, etc) but those last minute changes happen, and there's nothing I can do against them. This is also the reason why Blizzard doesn't announce patches early. " - Now on MMO
