For anyone wondering if the 3DS's StreetPass functionality will ever evolve to usefulness beyond filling out puzzles and trouncing through boring dungeons after a quick meet and greet with other 3DS owners, Capcom has your answer.

The publisher has revealed that the forthcoming Resident Evil: Revelations for the handheld will support StreetPass, allowing users to swap data to embiggen the Raid co-op experience with new levels and monsters, as well as making the single-player experience a more cromulent one with new items being exchanged between users that can then be parachuted into your next Campaign undertaking.

Resident Evil: Revelations is due to launch on 3DS at the end of this month, so stay tuned for the AusGamers review closer to launch.
