We mentioned that Notch mentioned that his world-building game, Minecraft, had finally gone gold after a lengthy alpha and beta testing period. Today he mentioned the game would actually be out by the end of this week (which could still be Saturday for us) and also promised he'd continue adding to the game just as they've been doing since day one. He also promised some "exciting plans for the next year" and that these would be announced very soon.

Minecraft Pocket Edition is also now available for iOS (iPad and iPhone) at a retail price of AU$7.49. It's exactly the same version that's been available on Android though, and has no online functionality whatsoever.

Notch doesn't like steam. Says it controls to much.
