You've definitely heard of Mana Bar, the runaway success videogame-themed bar that not only launched in Brisbane, but successfully in Melbourne too.

Another games industry veteran and recent AusGamers freelance addition, Patch Kolan, has taken the idea though, and run with it in a whole other direction. Insert Coin(s) is an adventurous night out at Sydney's Oxford Arts Factory and features DJs spinning chip tunes (and rock, hip hop et al), classic arcade cabinets, tabletops and pinball, alongside modern gaming kiosks. There's even a functioning milk bar in the room. Seriously. They also have live street art on the night inspired by geek and gaming culture and a whole lot more.

Insert Coin(s): Level 2 kicks off this November 10 with a $10 entry fee. Ubisoft has also teamed up with the night, and will be offering the first public glimpse at Assassin's Creed: Revelations. So if you're in Sydney and feel like getting your geek (and drink) on, help support the local Aussie gaming scene and check it out.

This is a bad way to start because you have instantly alienated anyone who hasn't heard of the mana bar.
