Following the recent launch of Battlefield 3 (AusGamers 9.8/10), EA and DICE have released a new set of screenshots from Back to Karkand, the upcoming downloadable content expansion due in December.
The Back to Karkand Expansion Pack, remasters four of the greatest Battlefield maps in the franchise; Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula with enhanced levels of destruction. In addition, this expansion pack includes five new dog tags, five new achievements/trophies, three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter), 10 iconic Battlefield weapons and a new persistence system where players complete assignments to earn their rewards.
Today's images all appear to be from the Strike at Karkand map, which you can see in it's new and improved Frostbite 2 by hitting the thumbs below.

Yer I'm very much looking forward to some BF Wake Island reenactments with BF3. Although it may be a tad harder flying under the bridge with a jet.

It's a good thing pretty much every copy I saw of BF3 being sold here were Limited Edition copies
