Speedruns are some of the more fun internet-watching pastimes, and if I weren't so worried about spoiling the forthcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim experience for myself, I'd totally watch the speedrun challenge that recently went down at Bethesda where the winner walked away from the game with a main quest completion time of 2:16:10 (if it were available to watch, that is).
The
Bethesda Blog has all the juicy details, but in a match pitting Fallout 3 speedrun combatants, Sam Bernstein (QA) and Jeff Browne (BGS), Bernstein trumped Browne, with a totally different path, by a whopping 20 seconds. It's pretty amazing to think a game I will likely sink more than 100 hours into can actually be finished in that short a time.

what the!?
I had to look it up - the first minute and a half or so seems to be screwing around trying to get out of the starting town.

No speed runs to brag about really. Possibly my only bragging rights was being able to do Goldeneye Silo in under 1:15 or whatever it was to get the cheat. Everyone seemed to struggle with that one. My mates all brought their N64's over so I could do that challenge for them.

On a gaming note though...
That was rage worthy but I also hated doing the train mission in under 5:25 to get the silver PP7.
