Rockstar are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto III by shrinking it down and wrapping it in select new platforms as a present to you, the fans.
To commemorate the game’s 10th anniversary, we’re proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto III will be coming to select new generation iOS and Android devices later this fall. For the lineup of supported devices, check the list below:
  • Apple iOS Devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S
  • Android Phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2
  • Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
They also announced a limited edition collector's figure of the game's lead character, Claude, which would be made available for pre-orders from the Rockstar Warehouse with a US price-tag of $149.99 (AU$147 at the time of writing), however, Rockstar Social Club members can also try and win one by clicking here.

There's no word on the game's pricing on the respective platforms, or on a specific release date other than "later this fall", which means later this spring for us.
