Last week we posted a news item outing Nightwing as a playable DLC character in the Challenge Maps for Batman: Arkham City, based on leaked information from a dedicated PS3 Trophies site.

Today Warner Bros. Interactive officially revealed Nightwing as indeed being included in the game as downloadable content, available from November 2nd for the ripe old price of AU$11.45 (PSN) or (for roughly the same cash) 560 MS Points (Xbox 360). As well as being equipped with his own fighting style, suit and gadgets, the original Boy Wonder will also come complete with two new Challenge Maps: Wayne Manor and Main Hall. Hell, they've even thrown in a Batman The Animated Series Nightwing Skin as well - not too shabby.

Click here for a better look at a render of Nightwing from the game.

Batman: Arkham City is due to release in Australia next week, and we're champing at the bit for it, so stay tuned for the obligatory AusGamers review very soon.

So you will be able to play the entire game as him? If so that adds another play through on the game for me.

That is pretty damn cool. I can't wait to get my grubby hands on this game.

i think he's only available in the challenge arenas, not the main game.

would be nice if rocksteady gave him or robin to us pc players for free since we have to wait an extra month.
