Warning: Potential Spoiler Material
The first details regarding the continuing spooky adventures of one Isaac Clarke have emerged ahead of EA or Visceral officially revealing that Dead Space 3 is even in existence, and they're not for the feint-hearted.
According to a report over at
Siliconera, Dead Space 3 will feature a ghostly figure of Isaac himself, hunting (and haunting) the player down and generally messing with their heads, all while the hapless engineer battles the elements on a new icy planet called Tau Volantis, where he has apparently wound up after fleeing the EarthGov authorities.
The idea of Isaac battling himself in split-personality form makes a lot of sense for the series, as Dead Space 2 explored a more impacted psychological side to the series' protagonist.
As mentioned though, Dead Space 3 is yet to be officially announced from either EA or developer Visceral, however,
Eurogamer points out that a TV crew at a recent studio tour at the former EA Redwood Shores spotted a Dead Space 3 poster.
