Driven by Blizzard's loyal fanbase and their rock-solid lineup of polished games, the Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo developer's annual Anaheim convention continues to grow bigger and bigger each year.
In addition to the games, developer panels and other fanfare on show, another of the event's big draws has been the closing concert -- which in the past has featured artists such as The Offspring, Ozzy Osbourne and Tenacious D.
To top that, Blizzard have now announced that the Foo Fighters will light up the stage for the 2011 event, following Blizzard's renowned in-house band the Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftans.
“We’re pretty sure that in the future, music historians will look back at BlizzCon 2011 as the unquestionable pinnacle of Foo Fighters’ long and illustrious career,” said Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters founder and frontman. “We look forward to living up to that prediction by bringing the Horde and Alliance together to rock the hell out of Anaheim next month.”
AusGamers will once again be in attendance at this years event, but for those that can't make it, Blizzare assures us that you'll be able to tune in from the comfort of your own home via

Blizzcon 2011 will take place October 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Tickets are reportedly already sold out.
