With Activision's recent disclosure that the bled-dry Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk franchises had been put on ice, the industry was left wondering where developer Neversoft's talents would next be put to use. The Los Angeles based studio -- best known for its work on the Tony Hawk skateboarding series and picking up the Guitar Hero mantle from Harmonix -- have posted a swathe of job listings on their
official site to work on a first person shooter.
No other information has been made available on the game, so let's just hope that they're not being assimilated into Activision's Call of Duty assembly line and we get to see something fresh from them.
Having spent over a decade on skateboarding and rhythm games, it will certainly be interesting to see what the studio can do with an action game. Their last such departure was the 2005 Western-themed third person shooter Gun.
