Rockstar have sent through word that they've released a Grand Theft Auto trilogy to the Mac App Store, featuring Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas.

If you're a Mac owner and have somehow managed to avoid playing any of these games out of pure frustration at them not being initially available on Mac, we applaud your conviction, however, we assume most gamers have, indeed, played at least one of these Rockstar classics, so it'll be interesting just how many Mac owners jump on this deal.

All three games are available individually for the price of AU$15.99 or NZ$18.99.

Great to see more good games becoming available to Mac users. This brings the world one step closer to being dominated by Macs mwahahahahahaha

In all seriousness though, I'd love to see this (or any game) on one of the new Thunderbolt 27inch cinema displays.

thought it was already on steam (which it wasn't) but noticed Steam is selling GTA 1 and 2 for $29 each ... it's a free download on the rockstar site haha.

Ah yeah right, didn't see Trog's original post and Rockstar shot us a press release about it today - guess it just means Trog is on the ball!

Haha, 6+ year delayed games, 3 week delayed press releases.
Sounds like Rockstar needs to hire more staff in both development & marketing departments. They're overworked!

It's just a Cider port. You'd probably be better off getting the PC version elsewhere (much cheaper) and take the time setting it up in Wine.

Hmm, to go with "Welcome to 10 years ago, Macf***" or "Wow, they just doubled the number of games available on the Mac!"

So many sick burns... now if you'll excuse my hypocrisy, I'm going to go play Civ5 in bed on my Macbook Pro.
