Tripwire write in with the possibly-good, possibly-bad news that Red Orchestra 2 has been suffered a delay right at the last minute:
Roswell, GA: Tripwire Interactive today announces that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13, 2011. While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve.
We've checked this game out a bit and if you're into hardcore World War 2 FPS it's definitely something you're going to want to keep an eye out for - and not just because it has plenty of dedicated server action. Check out our game page for screenies and videos showcasing the action.

Unfortunately they've gone with the "low violence" version for Australia out of concerns for our classification process, but there remains a slim possibility that this might chance. Have hope.

Tripwire are still awaiting a response from the classification board as to the rating of the game here. If it passes we get uncensored.

Had a look at the Steam game page and saw the dreaded "Low Violence: Low Violence Version" box.

What does this mean for pre-orders?

See my post above Mr. Bumpy. Tripwire are playing it safe because they are selling the game before it's classified. We're only screwed if the classification board goes stupid on us again.
