The embargo has now lifted on one of the few games I not only finished in a single, very-many-houred sitting, but also went back for seconds for.

I, however, did not review this game, as it seemed too much like it belonged to our man Grizz, who's tough and grizzly exterior coupled with a raspy, whiskey-coated voice, just oozed synergy with Supergiant Games' first outing, Bastion. And he pretty much also held us at gunpoint to tell you about the game.

So, we gave it up, like the pussies we are, because a man whose beard can grow that thick with mere thought, is no man to be a messin' with.

Supergiant games have an interesting pedigree, Greg Kasavin former chief editor for Gamespot is their creative director and there are a bunch of former EA employees in the mix too. The team clearly knows what makes a good game, and it sounds like they've delivered a well polished and compelling product. Looking forward to giving this a try.

Aside, I love the fact that I don't have to screw around trying to get to some store before close, I can just buy it at my leisure when I get home.

Totalbiscuit did an interview with (I think) Greg Kasavin on his channel and went through alot of features and a look into the development etc.

Well worth a sit and listen if you're interested in the game.

Also, I enjoyed the review :) I'll be waiting for the PC version. Can't wait for it.

Sorry for the bump but this Review is strangely similar to the one in this months Game Informer (to the point that I could swear they are the same people)
what gives? is your reviewer massively lazy or are they the same person.

Edit* - can't seem to find the Aus magazine's review online for reference. reviewers name is Adam Matthew.

I totally missed this thread when it was new.

I've been pretty keen for this game, and holding off the urge to buy it on Steam before it was actually out. But, after seeing this (and it's out tomorrow, isn't it?), I think I may have to buy it now.

Correct. Most of our reviewers are freelance and some also write for other publications.

btw WirlWind: We also interviewed Greg at E3 this year: http://www.ausgamers.com/features/read/3085359
