Halfbrick are probably one of Australia's most successful independent developers, and have recently made the push to become even more prominent in Australia, by buying up a local animation studio to add to their growing stable.

This is no ordinary animation studio though, The People's Republic of Animation is no stranger to videogames industry having already put together CG videos for ModNation Racers and the de Blob series among much more.

"This is an important step for Halfbrick," said PRA CEO, Shainiel Deo in a statement.

"We see their narrative focus as an incredible resource for creating new and truly compelling IP. Between PRA and Halfbrick, there is barely a screen we can't reach."
