With all the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hubbub of late, we thought it only fitting to report that ex-Infinity Ward bosses, Jason West and Vince Zampella, have launched the official site for their newly created development studio, Respawn Entertainment, where they even have a teaser image for their first up coming project.

There's not a lot on the site as of yet, barring active Forums, a Careers tab and news which is being fed to us via an already-appointed Community Manager, Abbie Heppe. As for the mystery image, you'll find that under the Games tab. My guess is it's a medieval setting of some kind, that object in the foreground looks like a castle - but that's just a guess.

Really looking forward to seeing what these guys put forward.

"funded through its publishing deal with Electronic Arts, one of the top publishers in the industry."

Be good to see what they come up with, there's no doubting their talent.

I read it might be a sci-fi shooter.

Hmm, hard to make out what that pic is. It's definitely got that fantasy look to it with the whole looking down thru a valley with big mountains either side.

Very exciting!

personally, I'd love to see these guys abandon what made them rich and famous and go in an entirely new direction

The image is pretty interesting, I'm trying to work it out. I'm 90% sure that's a hand in the bottom right, looks like it has something in it, like a bullet or something. The middle object looks like a six-shooter western gun with it's chamber open, but only 4 spots for bullets. Hmm need to keep looking.

The logo isn't great but I think the website looks quite nice.

I have no idea what type of game that image could represent.
