In an interview with
Impress Watch, as translated by Japanese-to-Enlgish gaming blog
Andriasang, playboy developer Tomonobu Itagaki expressed his enthusiasm for Nintendo's recently unveiled Wii U unit, and suggested its controller design had been built with the Japanese console market in mind, especially given the usually small living space of Japanese homes which often only have one central television.
"I believe it is a good idea," he said, while also expressing interest in his new title potentially landing on Nintendo's new console, though confirmed nothing concrete. (Apparently we might know more on this come Tokyo Game Show later in the year.)
He also confirmed that Devil's Third was still aways off, and wouldn't see the light of retail day until 2013, but also said his team are aiming to offer 32-player multiplayer for the third-person action title.
