Amid reports of a rather lacklustre media briefing from the big ‘soft this year comes the not-so-surprising announcement that
Halo 4 is in development. But wait, it gets bigger. Microsoft is calling it the beginning of a whole new Halo trilogy. Series creator Bungie is most definitely not returning to the helm for the next series of adventures with Master Chief. Instead, Microsoft’s internal studio, 343 Industries (which boasts some Bungie staff members), are taking charge of proceedings.
Microsoft has also sent through word that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, a remastered version of the original Halo title, is scheduled to hit on the 15th of November. The remake boasts “next-gen graphics and audio remastered for the Xbox 360.”
There’s no official press release as of yet for Halo 4, but you can check out the trailer below.
