At a BioShock Infinite event last week in LA (which happened around the corner from me, but all I could do was crash their party), VideoGamer.com had a sit-down with Irrational Games' Ken Levine, and asked that probing question most Irrational fans would like to know, despite just how far the team have come with their BioShock IP: will we ever see a SWAT 5?

"The publisher at the time asked us if we wanted to do SWAT 5, but we just didn't know what else we had to say that was interesting in that space," Levine told the site. "We felt that we had said what we had to say about that, we didn't know what else to say about it. We were kicking around doing another SWAT game at the time, but we just didn't know what we would do."

VideoGamer.com does point out that a zombie-themed direction for a potential SWAT 5 was thrown around the Irrational office, and even includes a concept trailer you can view right here.

Unfortunately we didn't get a glimpse at BioShock Infinite, but stay tuned for our coverage of the hotly anticipated 2012 release from E3 in under two weeks time.
