The hotly anticipated RPG sequel The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings from Poland's CD Projekt Red is now available from local stores as well as Steam and GOG.com and to celebrate, we have some sweet gear up for grabs.

Thanks to Namco Bandai Partners, MSI and CD Projekt Red, AusGamers has some very cool Witcher 2 prize packs to give away and entering is easy!

Once again it's a standard "25 words or less" affair, but this one could net you an MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II Series graphics card, as well as a copy of the premium edition of The Witcher 2 for Windows PC and a Witcher 2 branded Laser mouse and mouse-pad.

Head over to our competition page for full details to enter now and stay tuned in the coming days for our full review of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

I always enter these comps, and even won movie tickets once, but I never recall seeing the winners announced?

The winners are listed on the pages if you visit them, I may have won something recently. >_>

edit: This competition is hard. What do I look like, an imaginative person?

edit edit: Oooh can that be my answer?

Use word, watch the counter.

I had a hyphen in mine which I took out, because I realised it might be counted as a word, and I was at exactly 25. Would be useful imo, or just don't let me submit if your counter says it's above 25. :D

protip: You can still win if it's a few words north of 25.

Nuh-uh-I-think, I believe it was once mentioned that they auto-prune entries with more than 25 words. I presume that this is the only explanation for how some of my earlier entries didn't win, I mean they were all genius and additionally I vaguely know where Trog lives so he wouldn't want to risk... oh shi, I gave them my address details to enter... touche`. I see how this dance works now.

Winners were published yesterday but I only just emailed them. Couple of forum peeps in there I believe, which is a complete coincidence especially given the number of entries we had for this competition. I think you guys get our sense of humour a little too much.

I think I liked Jordan Robinson's answer best.
Rather than serving and protecting the monarch as a Witcher, I would pursue his wife's sister, Lady Pippa of Temeria, along with her 'supernatural' rear-end.

rigged, I didn't win. /s

Some good entries, I'm waiting to see what people wrote for the SC2 one. It was extremely hard to stay within 25 words.

Did you need to enter?!

Can we get some analysis of the entries, like how many, what % were rejected for word count, how many were winey/beg-y ones, etc.

If not for this comp, since you've probably looked at the entries enough and are glad to be done.. but with the starcraft one. Even if you can't do numbers just x% discarded as invalid, x% begging, how many were in your top pool that were then filtered down to the winnters, etc

if time permits I'll do it for SC2.

If I was flat out guessing, I would say maybe 5% get discarded because they're greater than 25 words, probably another 5% are ignored because they're begging (eg, "omg I really want to win because I need this prize for my dying grandmother pleeeeeeeeeazzzzz").

Most of the entries for this one were pretty good though. I certainly laughed out loud reading a bunch of them.

In this comp the shortlist was about 11 people. There were, I was very surprised to see, a few common themes - a few for Pippa Middleton and her fine ass, and some other ones I can't recall at this point.

Some other oens that were shortlisted that I thought were good:

ASSISTING QUEEN PIP MIDDLETON IN CHOOSING APPROPRIATE SWIMWEAR TO USE IN THE CASTLE MOAT & MAGICALLY GIVING ALL BALD MEN AFROS

Find all my ex girlfriends and request that they provide me with risque card sized paintings of themselves for my personal collection.

I'd join master chef: Temeria! Couple sword skills, the ability to shoot flame and years of carving apart monsters, I'd be a sure fire winner.

As a Witcher, I would spend my days trying to earn enough money to buy a graphics card actually capable of playing The Witcher 2.

I'd cultivate a serious herb garden, and learn to bake a damn good brownie. That, and retire filthy rich after inventing revolving doors.
