Namco Bandai have just unveiled Tekken: Blood Vengeance, a 3D movie based on their popular fighting game series. The feature-length 3D film is entirely CG and will be released at the end of this year, though we're guessing it'll likely be a straight-to-DVD/Blu-Ray dealie, much like Resident Evil: Degeneration.
TEKKEN: Blood Vengeance is being produced by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Degeneration, Death Note and Appleseed) with the screenplay written by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop). Directing the project will be Youichi Mouri, who directed the opening movies for both Tekken 5 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion
This will definitely be one for the fans. Stay tuned for the trailer, which we'll post as soon as Namco shoots it through.
