2K Games and Digital Extremes have revealed the release date for The Darkness II, follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed The Darkness from Starbreeze Studios. And it's one day before my birthday... aw shucks guys, thanks!

October 7 will see people stepping into the Darkness-filled shoes of Jackie Estacado once again, in a game that promises to be more action-packed than the first with a slightly altered art-style intended to more closely resemble the title's comic-book origins. We also have a new trailer to accompany the release date information, but we'll be getting a closer look at this baby in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned for more details, right here on AusGamers.
