Warner Bros. have just sent through word that, although we won't be seeing the game officially released on our shores any time soon (thanks to it being Refused Classification), the Mortal Kombat marketing juggernaut certainly won't skip us by.

A digital series exploring the background of the game's characters and story starring Voyager's Jeri Ryan, Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite) and Darren Shahlavi (300), will be premiering on April 13 on Machinima.com's YouTube channel.

Hopefully it's as cheesy as we expect and awesomely bad as a result.

Yeah, I'm hoping the sound gets a bit of work done on it before they release it. Its being made by the guy who made that badass short MK movie so I don't think it'll be too heavy on the cheese, I'm hoping its pretty badass.

Edit: This short MK movie
