It's been a rather long time since we've heard anything new about Rockstar's Max Payne sequel -- the last media from the upcoming game are from 2009. However, it looks like things are still progressing on Max Payne 3, with 2 new screenshots finding their way on to Rockstar's Twitter feed today.

The new images are quite dull, but hopefully they mark the start of some new reveals with more media and details to come. You can find them with all the previous screenshots at our Max Payne 3 game page.

Not screenshots. Please get it right.

FIrst picture looks like zombie payne. I don't like what they've done to max payne character. They've changed him from looking like Sam Lake (who was the writer for the games among other things) a character who felt and looked like a real detective to a burly ex-SAS guy.

Actually he looks exactly like Jeff Bridges, the guy who played the badie in Iron Man.

Actually it looks like they went with Remedy's model for Max Payne 2.

Didn't know the second Payne is now the same as the third one. Still don't like it and while playing the second one it bugged me that his character changed. I think they tried to mix a bit of 1 into 2 but now 3 is just full blown different.

Not keen at all on this new look. Prefer original looking Max Payne with that cranky ass look he's got.

I dunno, I think humanising him a bit more and having that play into gameplay mechanics as well as story could be a good thing. Who'd just want to play the same Max Payne again anyway. I think it's awesome they're taking a bold leap like this...
