Further to our news
yesterday of HD remasterings of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, comes news that an all-new Resident Evil game is on its way.
From Slant Six, who worked on the SOCOM franchise for years at Sony (but are now the property of Capcom), comes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, a team-based third-person shooter set during the events of Resident Evil 2 which featured series hunk, Leon S. Kennedy. According to Slant Six, this new installment will take on a darker tone than previous Resi titles, and you'll play as one of four Umbrella security officers during the outbreak.
Not much more is known about the title, but it's interesting to see Capcom letting loose with their number one franchise in the way of Western development. Stay tuned for more as it becomes available.
