Presumably due to the scarcity of baseball fans outside of North America and Japan, 2K Sports haven't ventured outside of these territories with their annual Major League Baseball series before. For 2011 however, it looks like they're giving it a shot, with MLB 2K11 now due on Australian and New Zealand shelves alongside 2K's latest Tennis offering Top Spin 4 on March 18th 2011.

There's two caveats to note however: unlike in North America where the game is set to launch on almost every platform known to man, the Australian release will be Xbox 360 exclusive. Secondly, Aussies and Kiwis won't be able to participate in the perfect game challenge where American players have the chance to win a cool million for pitching a perfect game.

Kudos to 2K for testing the waters though. More details, screenshots and trailers can be found on our MLB 2K11 game page.
