Early last week AusGamers was given a chance to get hands-on with Volition and THQ's forthcoming Red Faction: Armageddon, and amongst everything else, take that tantalising Magnet Gun for a spin.

While it didn't make me feel like Magneto as I'd hoped, it sure did make me feel like a wrecking ball. But there's more to Red Faction: Armageddon than the series' touted destruction tool, GeoMod 2.0, as we learnt while being run through the demo with Volition's in-house PR all round dude, Eric Barker. There's a renewed focus on directed combat here, and as a result the tools that make Red Faction... Red Faction work that much more.
