It's only a few weeks off, and we've been slogging it out in our review version (embargoed, so stay tuned), and today EA have released their launch trailer for Visceral Games' forthcoming action/horror sequel, Dead Space 2.

In keeping with the modern launch hyperbole of gaming, this trailer is set to a music track (an oldie, but a goodie), and doesn't give too much away, but does surprisingly reveal how much more human the main characters Isaac is, with full voicing and total view of his face.

Dead Space 2 is due to release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this January 26. Watch the trailer embedded below, or watch it in HD right here.

This trailer has done more for me to want to play Dead Space 2 than any previous marketing material.

Got super hyped for this & finished the original.

Just downloaded & started playing the demo for #2 - it's way faster (enemies included)! They've changed a few buttons which is screwing me up.

I love the fact the suit has jets on it so I can fly in zero gravity situations.

The music is just as scary as the original & really ratchets up the tension.

Very hard to meet the original Dead Space. It was an awesome game, hope it keeps with its reputation.
