EA have sent through word that the hotly anticipated Portal 2
will be shipping in Australia this year through their distribution channel, and will hit store-shelves here on April 21 for Mac, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
"Portal 2 is Valve's most innovative title in the company's history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April," said Doug Lombardi, vice president of marketing at Valve via press release. "We're excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms."
No word on pricing or Collector's Editions yet, but stay tuned for more as it becomes available.

But in Valve's case they seem to handle all their own PR (they have their own booth at tradeshows etc), so I'd guess every agreement EA Partners signs is tailored to the dev. Seems like it must be a pretty good deal for indie devs though, lots of them seem to stick with it over multiple releases.
