Following their recent release of his story trailer, Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm have released another new trailer for their forthcoming reboot of Mortal Kombat, which takes the series back to its more successful roots, showcasing some seriously awesome gameplay from the icy-cold fists of Sub Zero.

Old-school Mortal Kombaters will likely be very happy at the clear revival of classic moves, while advanced fighting game fans will be equally happy that there's enough depth here to perform difficult juggles, tag-ins and lengthy combos (considering the game wasn't initially designed with that much depth).

As usual, check it out embedded below, or download it right here.

One thing I never liked about Mortal Kombat was how they had block as a button rather than holding backwards. If they change that, I'll be happy.

You're crazy! This is MK at its best.

I think you're trolling, but I'll bite anyway. Block button ftw! I always waaaaaaaaaay preferred a block button, its a much more precise control method, I'd rather have a button for it than have it assigned to some arbitrary direction on my controller.

Alot of the levels are revamped MK2 Levels, which is awesome in itself, it looks a little slower that the previous MK's (I only count the 2D ones, tho 4 was _ok_ at best), but thats fine by me cuz I'm old :)
