Eurogamer reports that Blizzard have just signed a two-year lease on some 100,000 square feet of new office space in a building adjacent to their two other giant office buildings in Irvine, California, where they currently occupy 235,000 square feet which, according to the report, suggests an expansion of 40% - could this be for their yet-to-be-revealed next-gen MMO?
At this year's BlizzCon, the MMO giant teased us at the end of the event, suggesting they were about to announce the new game, instead announcing a fake game starring the Jersey Shore idiots. However, Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime did recently drop a few words about their next project.
"We are working on a second MMO," he said. "We're thinking of it as sort of a next-generation MMO. It's not a sequel to World of WarCraft - we want to do something a bit different."
Naturally the company employs plenty of people, but a 40% increase in office size isn't something to scoff at, even if you're Blizzard. We reckon an announcement about their next big venture is imminent.
