Call of Duty: Black Ops Now Available - Review Coming Soon

It's a rather slow news day today, perhaps because every one is too busy downloading, installing or playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. One of the most anticipated titles of 2010 shipped worldwide today and you should now be able to find it on PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 from all the usual retailers.

AusGamers was among the few press treated to a head start on reviewing the game and Steve's full review of the Xbox 360 version will be up later today. We'll also hopefully follow that up with some PC specific thoughts once we get a chance to properly check out how the dedicated server situation is working out, so stay tuned.

If you have to wait until after work/education today to play. Set the mood by watching the launch trailer a few more times, here on AusGamers.

I'll be waiting a day or two for proper feedback on the sp/mp on this. That'll determine whether I rent it from eb or buy it from steam us/uk.

Man, I want to buy this but don't want to pay the $90 for it. Don't suppose there are any gifting services you can do for this because the vpn thing doesn't work for me. I've tried it before.

I don't mind it, i donno what there saying about graphics not being as good at mw2. there the exactly same, it just looks as though trayerch have just taken the modern warfare design and made a campaign for it.
imho i don't mind medal of honor, feels real

From an unofficial unreliable source (i.e. other players in the PC game servers), the general lag that everyone one is experiencing is the VAC2 servers getting hammered, something that possibly having an open beta could have found earlier in the development cycle...

But yea my crappy quick googling skills has not found proof of this to be fact.

Another separate issue of Bigpond and Optus routing their players via the USA was causing some issues too :)

just played some single player. rather weird storyline, but enjoyable. it's COD tho, they all are basically the same.

united offence is still the best
