Offering the first new scraps of information since the game's announcement, Valve have now launched an official website for their recently announced
DOTA2. Over at
dota2.com you can find a blog that promises to be the place to be for the game's development news.
The inaugural post features a Q&A from Icefrog responding to a bunch of good questions from the community that include an explanation of bots and reconnect support and inter-region compatibility.
Q: Can I still play with my friends from America even though I am European? (by Adam Mosley)
A: Yes, a lot of people have friends in different regions and we want to allow them to easily interact. One of the things that makes DotA special is how big the community is, so we will do our best to make it easy to connect and communicate with one another.
No new comments have been made as to Valve's controversial pursuit of the DOTA trademark however.

icefrog is an amazing game dev... sure he isnt a uni/quantum grad or works for a large company or somes*** but hes managed to keep a war3 map amazingly balanced for years. hes quite under-rated imo.
