Yesteday at New York Comic Con, Marvel and Activision unveiled X-Men: Destiny, which is being developed by Canada-based Silicon Knights.
The all-new original video game casts players as new mutant recruits in a rich, branching storyline that features a deep element of choice and gives players ultimate control of their destiny.
Sounds fairly vague, but Silicon Knights are pretty good at characterisation, and although their last effort, Too Human, was a bit of a misstep, they still have the likes of the brilliant GameCube game, Eternal Darkness, and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for the PS2 under their belt. They were also responsible for Dark Legions on PC back in the day, so there's some hope here yet.

Watch the debut teaser trailer here on AusGamers.

Only 1 season? That stinks. I only got onto it like a week ago.

the original X-Men cartoon was still the best. I got annoyed that they played to consumer consumption and called it "Wolverine and the X-Men" like he was their leader or something.

RockitMan, if you haven't checked out any of the Hulk Vs cartoon movies yet, I strongly recommend you do - beginning with Hulk Vs Wolverine

Sadly they sold the rights to it to disney, who went about and f***ed it up, they destoryed or misplaced the original reels of it, thus the reason there are no good quality dvd's of the original series.

Which sucks, as the only cartoon from my childhood that id really love to have remastered in my dvd collection would be x-men.

I have a couple of copies of the original X-Men cartoon on dvd but yeah it's s***house quality. However he story chops and changes all the time and abrubtly ends then goes in a totally different storyline - it's kind of s*****. There's only a few parts where there's a complete storyline.

Steve: cheers, will checkout Hulk vs !

well technically he was the leader since he brought all the xmen back together and he sort of was the main character.
