In addition to our
hands-on preview session with the game's freshly revealed multiplayer component, AusGamers also caught some quality Q&A time with Kaos Studios developer Richard Carrillo to talk about all things involving multiple players.
A big goal for Homefront was class-based large-scale warfare. There’s definitely a lot of competition out there and we want to be one of those Triple A title - we’re definitely shooting for the top.
What really sets us apart from those other games is that that large-scale warfare comes very fast-paced. If you play a lot of other vehicle-based games, you have to drive long distances to get to the combat, in our game you’re going to spawn right next to the combat and you’re gonna spawn the thing from the spawn screen; you don’t have to wait for it to load into battlefield, you don’t have to wait to drive to get to the combat - this is fast-paced; get right in there, right into the action and start blowing stuff up.
